Sometimes in demo buildings we get to take stuff.

What to do with a 14x9 projector screen. It costs like $3200 new and never used. permission was granted to take anything left in building. So of course it was acquired, but it can’t really be used in a house.

Oh, those are nice, we have several of those. I wish we had such free reign. We have a room full [seriously full] of 65 inch TV’s and HD projectors in storage right now.

It weights 260 pounds. Not exactly easy to move around. Off the truck and into the garage was enough.

Craigslist and forums are probably your best bet.

can’t really be used in a house.

Au contraire. Think of this as your... inspiration.

I’ll ask around, my extended family is into movie rooms right now. What do you think you would sell it for?

Call up an A/V Installation company, see if they’ll buy it.

Uhh shipping is likely expensive. But anything is better than sitting in a garage. New in box though, I told my brother not to open it yet though. It’s 260 pounds.

But honestly I’d rather someone get a smoking deal than to just remove it to pitch it cuz we couldn’t find a buyer yah know.

You can email if you think we would move it. Yahoo@username.com

Oh, that’s way to expensive to re-purpose (as what, a tarp?). I’d definitely try to sell it.

I really need to get me one of these. My projector is quite nice at night on a white wall but during the day with lots of sunlight is not so great. I plan on keeping this thing forever so that would be a nice thing to find someplace. Especially if I want to go bigger than my current 100" size screen (It does 1080p up to 300" if you have a big enough room).

Weights not that big of a cost factor with LTL freight shipments. If you two are 1-3business days apart it would probably cost somewhere between 150-250$ ship. Assuming you don’t need liftgate service which most freight companies charge a fee for.

What projector do you have? I’ve been passivly considering getting one to set up as a ‘home theater’ in the basement

It may be worth a lot, but a projector is worth a lot .

Hope you can find someone who’s willing to take it :)

I know I have an Epson Powerlite but I can’t quite remember the model number. I believe it is the 2040 since this is the only one listed on their website under $1000 with all the features.

https://epson.com/For-Home/Projectors/Home-Cinema/PowerLite-Home-Cinema-2040-3D-1080p-3LCD-Projector/p/V11H707020

I paid about $750 shipped for it direct from Epson. My main reason for choosing this projector over others in it’s class was the price of replacement bulbs. This one has an OEM replacement bulb for $79 (usually they are ~$300!!). Mine hasn’t gone out yet and I’ve used it daily for the last 2 and a half years.
